FastoRedis (fork of FastoNoSQL) - is a cross-platform open source Redis management tool (i.e. It put the same engine that powers Redis's redis-cli shell. Since it's written using Java, it runs well enough on the Mac to be usable, but still isn't as elegant as a native Mac app. I've used MongoHub in the past and it was better in the respect of being a native app, but has also been more complicated to use in some ways, such as connecting to a remote server over SSH (for me, at least). Redis uses a standard practice for its versioning: major.minor.patchlevel. An even minor marks a stable release, like 1.2, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8. Odd minors are used for unstable releases, for example 2.9.x releases are the unstable versions of what will be Redis 3.0 once stable.

Redis 5.0 is the first version of Redis to introduce the new stream data type with consumer groups, sorted sets blocking pop operations, LFU/LRU info in RDB, Cluster manager inside redis-cli, active defragmentation V2, HyperLogLogs improvements and many other improvements.
